How Much Should I Pay For SEO In 2017

The Average Costs for SEO Services Per Hour and Per Month

SEO prices per hour and per month are generally based on location and NOT the US Dollar or British Pound as Google make them out to be.

Google themselves seem to have now set a standard SEO pricing structure across the board, which reflects in the Knowledge graph when you enter the phrase 'seo services prices' using .co.za search (South Africa)

Website Magazine comes up just under my site and appear in the knowledge graphs with the following description in the search snippet, which appears under 'The Average Costs for SEO Services'.

With such a wide range of prices for SEO services it can be very confusing when you are looking to hire an SEO

Sounds like a fair statement to me when it comes to pricing structures which do differ from country to country, specifically South Africa with its crappy Rand versus the Dollar and Pound (thanks to our president and corrupt politicians)

Google has now based SEO prices on a single currency, which is the US Dollar ($) This I find extremely bias of Google, considering I'm searching from South Africa and using Google.co.za search. The knowledge graphs should reflect the Rand (ZAR) and NOT the US Dollar (so much for local search!)

How Much Should I Pay For SEO In South Africa 2017

The Rand is 16 to 1 against the US Dollar and 22 to 1 against the British Pound. Now lets calculate what a South African would pay for SEO if they used a SEO service from the USA, or for that matter, the UK.

If a SEO company from the USA charges $100 per hour, a South African would have to fork-out R1,600 per hour.

Per month at $750 would work-out to R12,000.00 per month.

The average South African cannot afford R12,000.00 per month, and most South African's don't even earn that amount of money per month and most small businesses don't make a net profit of R12,000.00 per month.

Coincidently, USA consultants generally don't charge less than $100 per hour, and top agencies can charge $1,000 to $2,000 per hour (R16,000.00 to R32,000.00 per hour)

So Then How Much Should I Pay For SEO

Under the query 'how much should I pay for seo' searchenginewatch.com/ appears in the knowledge graph (below snapshot) with similar SEO rates which start at $750 (R12,000.00 per month) up to $5,000.00 per month (R80,000.00 per month)

And coincidently, my intentions were not to influence searchenginewatch's rankings, it was to influence Google's way of thinking.

USA SEO Services Bad Mouth Cheap SEO Services

USA SEO Companies as well as Google bad-mouth affordable SEO services like myself and others on there quest of standardizing a SEO currency on the internet, which actually surprises me, considering Google's supposed non-bias mantra they so solemnly swear by.

SearchEngineWatch class anything under $750/month as 'rock bottom prices' (the article was written in 2013) and warn Webmasters to be wary of companies that charge rock bottom prices.

It surprises me that sites like SearchEngineWatch can be so ignorant to the fact that countries with weaker currencies like SA simply cant afford to pay in US Dollars.

Recommended SEO Prices For South Africa

Our SEO prices, which including hacking, filters and penalties work as follows - R200.00 per hour ($16) or R1,500.00 per month ($100.00)

Google has set a standard rate for US citizens (which if fine by me) so if you contact me from the USA or UK you can expect to pay what Google promote - Hourly, Min $100.00 - Monthly, $750.00 to $5,000.00 ;)

Cyber SEO Services from South Africa is proudly South African and a tolerant supporter of the ever declining, crappy Rand!
