Revenge Porn Removal from Google (that’s if they honour your removal request) only results in the image/page been removed from the Google search. Google or for that matter any other search engine CANNOT remove content from a site, they simply remove the content from the search results.

The removal request (if granted) will also not remove the content from other search engines like Bing, etc, and will not remove your image from social sites or any other websites that have already aggregated your image (copied your image) The removal tool only removes the URL/s you specify.

The only way to permanently remove a revenge porn image or your full name from all search engines is to take legal action against the sites that host the content. A judge will then force the hosting company to remove the content. Google has no control or authority over hosting companies, they only have control over their own search results.

Google has taken a strong stance against PornRevenge (Revenge Porn) sites that humiliate ex-partners and sextortion websites that extort $ for the removal of images that ex-partners or hackers distribute.

Google will now honour removal requests by people to remove nude or sexually explicit images shared without there consent.

The web form to submit porn revenge image removals will only be available in weeks to come, they never stipulated a date.

Our philosophy has always been that Search should reflect the whole web. But revenge porn images are intensely personal and emotionally damaging and serve only to degrade the victims predominantly women.

This came after Googles futile attempt to filter-out (not ban or remove) Mugshot sites that extort money for mugshot removals, which coincidently still appear in search and still extort bucks for mugshot removals.

Mugshot sites for years have been extorting bucks and still are while Google sits back doing nothing.

Google is unable to remove images from websites, they are only able to remove them from there server, the search results. But this won’t stop porn revenge due to websites linking to them and people redistributing the images throughout the web.

Google was unable to stop mugshot extortion so I doubt very much whether they will be able to stop pornrevenge. All that’s happened is they now honour revenge porn removals.
