How To Identify High Bounce Rate

If a user accesses a page directly from Google search then hits the back button or kills the page, then goes back to Google search to search for a different website it will be classed as 'High Bounce', which will count as bad user engagement (and Google will also record a 'drop-off' for that page)

To identify high bounce pages you need look at specific pages in conjunction with time spent on those pages. By doing so you can get a pretty good idea if the user read the content of the page.

If there were 100 hits on a gateway page that funnels users to important pages on your website and the bounce is 100% then you bound to have page quality issues on the gatway page.

When you have bounce rate in the 90 to 100% range, it basically means you are failing to attract your visitors deeper into your sales funnel which is usually caused by poor landing pages, use of incorrect keywords and incorrect audience targeting and many times even design issues or bad page load time or mobile rendering issues.
